Privacy Policy
The Pawsome Hotel ("we", "us") cares about your privacy as much as we care about your dog. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. This policy is written for compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
The Pawsome Hotel is the data controller for any personal data collected through this website and through your dealings with us. You can contact us at any time using the details on our contact page.
2. What information we collect
- Enquiry details: name, email, phone number, your dog's name and breed, and any message you send us via our contact form.
- Booking details: additional information needed to look after your dog safely — vet details, vaccinations, feeding routine, medical needs, emergency contact.
- Technical data: very limited — we don't run analytics or third-party tracking. Our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting only.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a meet-and-greet.
- To deliver the daycare or boarding service you've booked.
- To contact you about a current booking (e.g. updates while your dog is staying with us).
- To meet our legal and insurance obligations.
We will never sell your data, and we will never email you marketing without asking first.
4. How long we keep it
Enquiry data is kept for 12 months in case you'd like to come back. Booking and customer records are kept for 6 years to satisfy HMRC and insurance requirements. After that, we securely delete it.
5. Sharing your data
We don't share your data with third parties except where strictly necessary — for example, providing your vet's details to an emergency vet if your dog needs urgent care, or sharing payment details with our payment processor. We never share your data with marketers.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (where we are not required to keep it), and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. To exercise any of these rights, just email us — we'll respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
See our separate Cookie Policy for details.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date above. For significant changes affecting how we use data, we'll let you know directly.
